If forums and Internet was correct about everything JRPG games would probably be the most popular genre.  

Forums and the internet is great and all, but don't take feedback as if it is 100% success or failure.

Change your title to "If all the consumers in the videogame market were actually passionate gamers who truly loved the hobby for the wonderful experience it can bring to people, instead of being sheep who are only concerned with what is trendy atm"

So if you like Call of Duty you are a sheep?  Is that because they have sequels or because they are popular?  Or maybe just because they are good and it's why people like them.  They just don't visit forums to testify there love for them.

It's because 90% of the people who play it only play it because their friends do..that's kind of the definition of a sheep.

With over 37 million views and 161,000 plus likes with under 6000 dislikes and I will compare it to Xenoblades Chronicles IGN Review which has over 220,000 views and just over 1,300 likes and 251 dislikes. No your analysis is incorrect. Do I need to whip out the sales numbers?

It just depends what part of the Internet you are on. And I understand that your trying to say the shit storm going on with the Xbox isn't going to translate to what happens sales wise and you may or may not be correct we have to wait and see.

Jay, your "i'm totally unbiased and like both consoles equally, I swear, HONEST" routine is wearing thing when you always rush to defend Microsoft regardless of the circumstances.

You are right, what goes on in forums such as these don't dictate what works and what doesn't, but since the majority of people on forums such as these are real gamers, our reaction to what is going on in the industry DOES determine what is successful, TO US.

Because casual gamers just love FF right? Soccer moms and grandparents everywhere are rushing to the stores to get the latest FF game so their kid can be popular at school :p
