A friend of mine said the same thing years ago about the PS3. He added that by time the 3rd console come around, the console makers gets too dam arrogant, like Nintendo and Sony did.

Regarding the fee to play used games, I don´t think it´s as simple as them going to EA & Co and saying "hey guys, remember that deal about used games that would benefit you guys?...yeah, forget about it".

Or,
PS4 = Xbox
XOne= N64
WiiU= Dreamcast (but barely survived)
In other words, they're all doomed, as opposed to the norm, Nintendo being the only one doomed

But the original Xbox wasn't successful, it just finished in a very distant second place.
