What are you trying to prove here?  I get it, you did not enjoy the Xone conference.  Only one post was needed for you to say that.

Thought we were discussing. My bad.

Discussing is fine.

As far as the games I stand by what I said.  Nothing impressed me from either other than Killzone.  Everything else was tech demos, small clips of trailers, or third party announcements that will be on both consoles.  I'm glad they both announced a few games but they was not surprising or interesting.  We have yet to recieve a big announcement from either one is what I'm saying.  As of right now I only see two games I will be for sure buying and that is CoD Ghosts and Destiny which is for both consoles as well as current gen.

lol i didnt say it impressed me either

Was just saying it was more gamer centric. Different gamers with different tastes would have been appreciative of that. And i was directly addressing your point in the OP about how games wise its nothing much in it. Whereas most gamers would disagree with you.

Intel Core i7 3770K [3.5GHz]|MSI Big Bang Z77 Mpower|Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1866 2 x 4GB|MSI GeForce GTX 560 ti Twin Frozr 2|OCZ Vertex 4 128GB|Corsair HX750|Cooler Master CM 690II Advanced|

jay, honestly you need to go back and rewatch the sony conference, the entire show was about how the console was a back to the drawing board focus on games and gamers, lots of demos lots of trailers lots of tech, specific yo the point detail and clear focus on thier direction.

Microsoft came out and showed off the hardware then demonstrated it with only a ui implamentation snd a very brief non-live bit of fifa gameplay, everything else was prerenderes trailer anf jargon or tv related features barely anyone outside of the US will use, they completely neglected to say if the console would ir could even record tv so until they soecify this its not actually a DVR, and uk customers arent going to want to disconnect their sky, bt or virgin media box to plug in to the xbox one because it just add uneeded complixity to hardware that does the same thing natively, but better (record multiple channels at once), not sure about you but switching between hdmi sources on my tv is instant too...

then they followed up the actual event that was wishy washy on details with the negative answers (shittonnes of them)

last but not least i think you kinda miss something with regards to gdde5, to make moving smaller chinks of data efficient theyre stacked (several packets of data in one block) so that the end result is shifting the data quickly, for even smaller chunks of data that need to move faster than a pipeline queue thdy can simple occupy l2 cache.

this isnt a pc, the overheads that make gddr5 have issues for system memory arent anywhere near as big an issue on a closed system with hardware in complete unrestricted control of resources.

i was also peeved at the major nelsin follow up 'tech' segment where on multiple instances the panel mentioned how its important fir developers to know what they have to work with but never came out and flately stated what the memory devide is, as such i assume its around 3/5 or 4/4 given the 3 os stuff.
last but not least one of the panel carefully worded the system as being able to move data at a speed if 'over 200gb/s through its subsystem', its clear here that overall system pipeline speed is not that fast and theyre simply covering up the facts by instead stating subsystem (moving from l2 to cpu) rather than coming out and saying the actual mem bus speed, they also only stated the memory as using sram. both sram and ddr3 are incapable of 200gb/s even with lz77 compression and esram assisting, which is why i raided an eyebrow.

all in all i was excited right up to the mid to late part of the tv features then it all went downhill.

ignore, browser glitch ._.

damn you, safari

No need to do that to your eyebrows...

Also keep in mind that the memory breakdown will be similar between the two systems. Sony will try to do (and likely already does most of) whatever MS is doing. If MS uses 3G of ram for os tasks, then Sony likely uses at least 2G also, so there is no real advantage here for either company.

The only interesting part of this completely botched presentation was the Kinect2 tech. There was a rumour that the original Kinect would use a tof camera (at a time when the average, small resolution tof camera was in the >$1000 price range). Apparently some new manufacturer has entered the stage and is capable of delivering tof chips (with a rumoured resolution of 500*400, which would have been totally insane a few years ago and probably still is, try find something larger than 320*200..) at an acceptable price (I do not think these chips run lower than $100).

I really didnt see any gameplay footage at XO conference just pre rendered Stuff... even EA's games were cut scenes from engine not game play, same goes for call of duty.

For PS4.. Destiny had a wee bit of gameplay in their trailer... DriveClub start of the trailer is gameplay. Infamous Pre rendered on PS4.. Media molecule don't know what was that, but it was controlled. Not mention KZ, knack, witness.

as for features PS4 features focused on gamers.. and XO features focused on TV watching audience.

P.S oh on specs wise MS didnt annouce anything compared to what sony announced (Architecture, GPU, CPU, ram type)
