I think this caught everybody by surprise.

Lets say you that guy that wasnt interested in what they had to show at the event...all you have now is a million different bits of information about how the XO might or might not work with online connectivity and used games. Thats it.

They basically trolling themselves. They can very easily clear up the rumours...but FFS your own VP is saying one thing but the rest of your team is saying something else????? :O

They should have only discussed basic info post reveal and keep ALL finer details for E3.

Driveclub was also shown...i think that was gameplay?

Not sure.  Most trailers was just quick teaser like trailers.  They showed the model of the car in Drive Club but Idk if they actually showed gameplay.  I believe the only noteworthy gameplay we have seen so far has been Killzone.  Other than that we have seen a little bit from Knack, Madden, UFC, NBA, FiFA, and Call of Duty.  All was too short to tell much from other than Killzone.  Really pumped up to see what PS4 and Xone has at E3.

Hardware is a significant advantage to Sony. Sony has almost double the gpu computational power. Im not sure when last we saw this kinda gap in hardware. PS2/Xbox? Some people are trying to claim otherwise but this is as clear cut as you will get.

When it comes to Software and Features, Sony didnt really show anything apart from the sharing features etc. MS showed actualy live working demos of the interface and how it works. Sony did however talk alot about what they will implement. Just like how MS talked a lot about the games that will come. Based on the reveal events alone a big victory for MS here.

Games, again hands down victory for Sony here...theres just no other way to see it. We didnt see a lot of full walkthrough gameplay vids but we saw a lot of new titles with gameplay clips and trailers galore. Perhaps not the best games showing but MS had almost nothing here...didnt seem like they even tried.

Yeah both were pretty uninspiring. But as a gamer the PS4 reveal was a hands down win. Not even close to be honest.  I really liked the opening bit of the XO reveal...but it was downhill from there and just never recovered.

Finaly Thoughts:

Totally different strategies taken by the company. I prefered and appreciated Sony's gamer centric approach .

Game wise Sony dominated MS, not only showing double the exclusives but also talking about features that matter for games like: Backwards compatible solution, demo streaming, Viewing what friends are playing, Universal remote play and play whilst downloading.


PS4 showed 5 exclusives: Killzone (live demo), Knack (Ingame trailer ft gameplay), Drive Club (gameplay trailer), Indie game (gameplay trailer), Infamous (in-engine teaser)

Xbox One 2 exclusives: Forza (gameplay trailer), Quantom break (live action+CGI, potentially 3secs of ingame footage teased at the end)

The fact that sony showed twice as many games, all viewable back in february and microsoft can only pull of 2 makes think that the rumours of them struggling with 1st party software is true. Either that or E3 is going to be a nonstop tirade of exclusive AAA titles, equally its possible sony has already blown their load but I highly doubt it with media molecule, naughty dog (team 2), gureilla project 2, santimonica, team soho all having new titles being confirmed since 2011.

Oh and lets not forget The Last Guardian team.

Knack trailer with a lot of gameplay plus the vita streaming bit of gameplay (they also used knack footage to show off the consoles power)

Media Molecule - game/concert/puppet thing/game? Dont know what it was but looked cool.

Sony spent their entire conference talking about games and showing games. MS spent about 15 minutes on games.

What are you trying to prove here?  I get it, you did not enjoy the Xone conference.  Only one post was needed for you to say that.
