Hey, it's not ALWAYS online, you just need to be online to register the game the first time, ALWAYS. See? it's just a matter of semantics........... and a bit of extra cash LMAO
>EA dropping Online passes
Thats a good thing.
>EA dry humping the Xbox
You should have seen this coming.

You dont need to be online to play an already registered game, but in order to register the game you need to be online, so if you dont have internet you cant play.
It is the same way Steam works. I never heard anyone complain about that.
Actually it is more user friendly, because you can sell the game for a fee. Steam does not offer this option at all.
Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Nobody complains because nobody buys Steam games at the full price :P
| Mr Puggsly said: Uhmmm... for that to be true wouldn't the One require an Online connection to install a game? I mean how is another console going to know that disc was installed on a different console unless its all done through the internet? |
It's been confirmed. We're talking hard facts here, not rumors.
MS did say online wouldn't be required, so obviously this would be handled offline. There is some kind of system-wide DRM or maybe something on the disc itself that limits how many times it can be installed.

There is virtually no used games market for PC games. There is a HUGE hused games market for consoles games.
It's a problem, this will end up backfiring.
