This effectively makes the Xbox One hundreds, maybe even over a thousand of dollars more expensive than the competition.

First, when me and my girlfriend buy a game, we need to shell out extra cash when we both want to play it. What the fuck. I resell about half of my games after completing them, and nobody is going to buy second hand Xbox One games. I also buy lots of second hand games when I have doubts about the quality of the game, or when the game isn't available at retailers anymore (which is much faster than you might think. Yes, I like playing old games).

Also, lending games is out. With a big gaming library (50+) this may just cost you over a thousand dollars extra.

Needless to say, I won't be buying the Xbox One, even though the 360 is probably my favorite console ever.

Wired got it confirmed from MS. Gamespot and CVG just reported. MS is just so out of touch with gamers.

Well Sony with the PS4 has me in there pocket if they don't do the same shit MS is doing. 

I'll wait for more information. Still too many questions, Hopefully they will go into more detail about everything in the coming weeks.

So far its looking like PS4/Wii U for me this gen. MS will need a 10 out of 10 showing to ever get me to buy a Xbox one now. Thats just even as my secondary console to the PS4 as well. My friends already know about this (xbox 360 friends) and we've all agreed on PS4 pretty much.

It doesn't explain why they are completely dumping online passes, unless there is something similar on the PS4. We know EA is not going exclusive. No comment on the Wii U as there are no EA games in development for the Wii U.

It looking like both PS4 and Xbox one will do this. With the only difference being Sony is leaving it up to publishers while MS is mandating it.

Sony does their own online pass system.
