Oh, did they give a release date for dark souls 2 already? I haven't been keeping up with the news on the game.

well nothing concrete,.. 2013.  who knows, maybe it gets delayed.  just makes the need for next gen even more unnecessary in the short term.   ..which is a general concern of mine with AC:IV, watch dogs, GT6, GTA5 and all the rest still coming to current gen hardware.  i'm reluctant to move on because i can see the warning signs from here.

Ya, so many big titles are still coming to current gen systems. It's good though that most of those games will have a next gen version too.

It may be adjusted by what happens tomorrow. But I do expect/hope for a few nice surprises. I am really hoping for some major spec increases in Kinect's resolution, timing, improved speech recognition and hopefully the new one will be stationary.

But least likely big thing I am hoping for is a higher graphics specs, above the rumors. I realize if they go up to what Tim Sweeney’s request at 2.5 Tflops, then it will only be about 40% more powerful than the PS4. While that sounds good, it is probably hardly noticeable.

Anyway, unless I am totally disappointed on the 21st, I will planning on getting the Next Xbox at or soon after launch.



 

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Already have a Wii U. I'm taking a wait and see with the other two. Price, software support for Wii U and many other factors will play into what I decide to do. I almost certainly will not pick up another system this year, but might at a later time.
