You can't have a price cut mentioned and not nearly immediately go into effect. I think they've done this exact thing in a previous E3 for PS3... maybe its first or second price cut that was also with the slim model?

It's more likely at Gamescom i think, keep those sales up until PS4 comes out. No point doing it in the dead of summer

while true i'll also mention that before any console price-cut there are generally some "signs" in the form of frequent retailer discounts to clear out stock.  i don't thing ps3 will get a price cut at E3..

Why would Sony cut the price again? They've already cut it so many times, and wasn't the last cut like a year ago or something?
