Forums - Sony - Rumour: PS4 will be $399 (seems legit)

Hardly think 250GB is "massive"

For the base? Isn't the top Wii U hard drive 32GB or something?

I dunno, after working off this 20GB hard drive 360 for 7 years now, this looks pretty god damn big to me considering it's for games rather than my personal computer.

Says 399 EUR, so more like $500.

$=€ in videogame land.

Yes, this is what I am learning now. I would normally just translate prices via exchange rate, but someone here told me that was wrong. Thats something that needs to be changed. They should be paying at least ten euros less.

When you have Play Tv and Playstation PLus and a whole digital library 250GB is nowhere near enough (Especially since PS4 games will be "Bigger")

PSP Lifetime more than PSV+3DS Lifetime.

I suppose if you never delete anything. Regardless, I personally would say that qualifies as "massive" for a base model with ease.

Well at least It isn't $600 like the ps3 at launch. It also isn't overpriced considering it's specs. Lets just hope this is the same price they announce at E3 and nothing greater than this.

The $399 price point sounds realistic. Hopefully it does hold true in the end (or cheaper. lol!)

The 8 and 32GB for the Wii U was a mistake, the current non-EU models are 250GB/500GB.

Digital will be more of a focus this time around.

I hope 500/1TB are the models (As long as these are the prices)

PSP Lifetime more than PSV+3DS Lifetime.

$399.99 is what we have been speculating for the basic model. So that would be quite good.

1TB for £449 hopefully.

The split will probably be 250/500GB

I hope not. It also wouldn't look very next gen seeing as the ps3 is also available in those sizes. With all next gen system media holding a minimum of 25GB, I expect most next gen games to range between 20GB and 50GB, with even some physical discs requiring installs on the HDD.

Also having 1TB will be a great marketing tool IMO.

Hmm you might be right. 250GB/1TB then.

Dudes.  A 1TB HD would add about 100 to the price on its own.  Seems almost smarter to not include a HD whatsoever, and just allow you to add a USB 3 or eSATA drive.  That way you could add 3 TB if you wanted.
