I would be interested, Persona 4 is my next Vita game to play (that's right, I have a queue)

I also have several FF games on there and I would rather if they were enhanced versions. I am tempted by FFX HD on Vita, but at the same time, it is game that requires very extended sessions, maybe better for a home console. The ideal situation would be to get both and have cross play

I think the key is that they don't really need to do much work on them to port, certainly PS1 games are just fine. Of course, they can get a lot more money if they touch them up and add some trophies

Well I'm getting it on PS3 and Vita anyway, since it has cross save, the reason being that when I'm at home I'll be playing the game and grinding and such on my PS3, whereas on the Vita I'll be spending my time with the sphere grid while I'm out and about, using it as a sort of mobile app, lol :P I'll still be doing more while out and about ofcourse, but that's the main reason for buying both...

Does it have cross save? If that has been confirmed, I will get it on both

Yes, i'd be happy. Because there are several games i hadn't played on my PS2 like Jak and Daxter which i will play on the vita in its HD versions. I'd never play those games on my tv at home, because my backlog is just too huge. But i think PS2 games just fit perfect on the vita.

And WTF people complaining about "it's no new game" i bet the most of them haven't played the originals.

must-have-list for platforms i don't own yet:

WiiU: Donkey Kong

XBone: Dead Rising 3, Ryse

Erm... no, not really. I am loving Persona 4 and while FFX/X-2 looks decent, as did the metal gear collection, i feel like that is not the way to go.

There arent many worthwhile games to port at any rate. Wild arms and Grandia might be the only ones i'd get.

How about the Dark Cloud games, along with Rogue Galaxy? What if they released the Kingdom Hearts games on Vita too? (The ones coming to PS3) or even if Final Fantasy XII was remade in the same was as X/X-2 are, wouldn't you like that on the Vita too?

The PS2 had so many games that could be ported to the Vita... imagine San Adreas on the go too, lol

I mean, the console would still get new games too, but I'm just talking about enhanced ports and stuff, y'know? I don't see a problem with it receiving them as long as they're done properly.

Don't get me wrong, I still want to see new games, but these ports could be released during the dry spells, since there seems to be quite a lot at the moment, in terms of new games that aren't ports... we don't have many left this year, compared to the 3DS that is anyway.

Kingdom hearts could work. Dark cloud and rogue galaxy really arent that great. Though if i had it on Vita i would give Rogue galaxy another chance (i stopped it half way cause it was kind of boring).

The Vita already has Vice city and liberty citiy stories so GTA's wouldnt be that impactful unless they are remakes.

Look, of course i wont say no to more games. But, if these new games come at the cost of these ports i wouldnt want to. But, i dont think they do. So let them release them. If they get interesting stuff... OMG i just pondered about Shadow of the collosus on the Vita... erm yeah... they can release more aslong as its not impactful on other projects. :)

if ps vita would ever go to the porting business... they should consider PS games first before ps2... since ps2 era is fresher and less interesting... it is good, but it doesnt feel that it is the right time yet.... for example... imagine playing crash bandicoot HD on your vita or FF7? original tomb raider HD? it would be like 3ds.. but except 3D they put HD at the end.....

You can't really port a fifth-generation game into HD.  It would take much more effort and money than a sixth-generation game.  They'd basically have to start again from scratch (i.e. what Nintendo did with Ocarina of Time 3D).

By the way, original Tomb Raider exists in HD.  Anniversary (remake of the original) was part of a HD Collection on PS3.

they might as well start from scratch...

yeah ocarina was a good execution.... with the drought vita is experiencing... they need to produce game or reproduce games that was "big" before....

how did the tomb raider HD looked like? do they have it in vita too?

Yes, all a dev studio needs to do is to tie-up a guy to a chair to port a classic into hd while the rest of the team work on new project for the vita.

Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont

I think enhanced remakes and HD ports are the last things the Vita needs.
