Forums - Sony - so how will I play my ps2 games now?

I'm confused as to why ps2 was discontinued when ps3 has no bc.

Any thoughts?

Perhaps they have finally solved the software emulation for ps3?

Around the Network

buy one from ebay or amazon

Of course there is the secondary market, what I'm asking is why sony is abandoning a revenue stream.
Surely there is still profit to be made somehow.

Teh cloud..

There are tons of used PS2's out there some of them are super cheap.

Around the Network

ebay or kijiji - I've found some as low as $30

Games can and should tell stories and share ideas through their mechanics. This is the intrinsic element of the medium and this is how experiences should be crafted in video games. No company does this as well as Nintendo and their echoes from the past.

What I really wish Sony did was add a HDMI to the PS2 for the last run. None of these newer TVs even have SVideo anymore, hell component is rare to.

It's just that simple.

The PS2 hasn't been discontinued just like the DS, Over 1million shipped last quarter.

PSP Lifetime more than PSV+3DS Lifetime.

Keep your PS1, PS2, PS3.
