I'm just offering suggestions that I feel would make the site better.  I mean you don't go to wii.ign.com and see Playstation 3 stories being posted for example.  But I won't bother to complain about it anymore since one of the top mods stepped forward and said they don't see much of a problem.  I respect the mods and their decisions.

So, Legend, by your logic, there shouldn't even be a gaming section. Unless we're talking about Dreamcasts, Macs, or gamegears.
Because everything else is a Nintendo, Sony, PC or Microsoft game right?

No, in my opinion the gaming forum should be about topics that don't fit in one of the specific gaming forums.  For example comparing PS3 and 360 versions of a multiplatform game should be in the gaming forum since it doesn't fit the Sony only or Microsoft only gaming forums.
