The first Drakengard had an opening of 131,629 and Drakengard 2 138,052. Looks like Drakengard 3 will follow suit!

Zelda >>> FF Vita, And this is a sad thing for Sony

Looking at the numbers here, the previous 2 Zelda games on DS sold 300k+ FW.  I think FF Vita will be lucky to sell that lifetime, considering it's on PS3 as well.

It would have been tolerable if the game were split into multiple SKUs. Unfortunately it's not. Simply inexcusable, Vita!

Looking at FFX HD, seems like it won't quite reach 200pts. By comparison, Tales of Symphonia Chronicles had 132pts also 4 days left, it ended at 134pts

Now it had an FW of 78,304 according to vgchartz, so it had a COMG to FW ratio of 1:584.4

The other comparable game that released lately was Lightning Returns, which left the charts at 306pts and sold 285,679 (again vgchartz figures) giving it a ratio of 1:933.6

Also there's Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX which finished at 149pts and FW'd at 130,321 for a ratio of 1:874.6

Therefore there are 4 obvious possibilities as to how FFXHD PS3 might sell FW relative to its COMG performance, assuming it leaves the chart at 185pt:

If it matches ToSC - 108,114

If it falls exactly inbetween ToSC and LR (i.e. at a ratio of 1:761) - 140,785

If it matches KH 1.5 - 161,801

If it matches LR - 172,661

Personally my gut is to say that even the LR based figure is low, but then I guess Japan isn't really into HD remasters. However I have been too optimistic with my recent predictions, so I am somehwhat inclined to say that though I think it will do better than 170k, it won't do hugely better, maybe 220k? What do you guys think? Vita wise I'm not even gonna try, it's too messed up with all the different SKUs

I think it'll end up higher than 185, just because Sony games tend alright throughout the week, compared to Nintendo titles which mostly tend to be concentrated on the weekends.

With that said, I think it'll end up higher than KH first week so more within the realm of your second two predictions than your first.

It's not doing as well as I expected, though, so who knows.

Regarding the Vita predictions, I don't even know how they're going to track it.  Will they be counting the 3 separate SKU's separately?  iirc, when Soul Sacrifice released with single pack / dual pack, one tracker (think it was Media Create) tracked those together as one set of sales while the other tracked them separately.  So we could end up with 3 numbers from Famitsu and 1 number from Media Create.

@tbone51 Nice, looks like SM3DW will be up for a 3rd consecutive week. This game deserves every sales it can get! Also, wiiU above 100k in Japan next week? That would be amazing! :).
