I didn't even realize Ever Oasis and Pikmin were dropping the same day in Japan. Too bad they're not both doing better, but the 3DS is winding down and it's not like those were aiming to be blockbusters anyway.

According to Comg's twitter, pre-orders of Splatoon 2 have almost reached the planned first shipment number. At the moment is still possible to pre-order, so they recommend to do it before it's too late.

yes, it means at the 16 or so stores that COMG operates there are 506 customer preorders for DQ11 PS4

on average the final preorder numbers at COMG x 1000 is very very roughly what a game sells first week in Japan, but it depends a lot on genre/title/mainstream appeal etc - niche otaku games usually have a lower multiplier (300-600x), mainstream and western games a higher one (800-1500x), some even 2000+x
