Nier and super robot wars beasting.

And yeah the mandatory pre order for Switch is obviously inflating it's numbers. If everyone buying a ps4 everyday in Comg had to pre order a ps4 title it would obviously have higher numbers too.

Except that the Switch is a brand new system with NO games on the market.  As such, all preorderers have an EXTREME propensity to preorder anyway vs the PS4 which has been out for years and has a very established and diverse market.  So just ask yourself: preorderers are extremely likely to preorder a game, what are they likely to pick: I Am Setsuna - a game that is months and months old, Dragon Quest Heroes 1 and 2 - both of which look like painfully low effort ports, 1, 2, Switch - a party game, or Zelda - one of the largest releases of the first 6 months?

Basically, circumstances surrounding this are such that the impact of this one store chain policy are negligible at best.  The decrease in preorders for the games is due to the fact the Switch's preorder allotment is gone, meaning that any who preorder the game now who don't already have a Switch preordered will be unable to play the game they bought.

Have you ever seen someone pre-order a console without pre-ordering a game along with it?

Just curious.

Yeah when I pre ordered both the ps3 and ps4 (only consoles I ever pre ordered), I didn't reserve any games.

When I collected the consoles at midnight I picked up a game.  Motorstorm with the ps3 and Battlefield 4 with the ps4.

Rakuten Books Ranking Week 5, 2017 (Jan 30 - Feb 05)

***WARNING***

* Note: Games on the Rakuten Books Rankings are ONLY based on sales at Rakuten Books and does NOT count games sold by other retailers at Rakuten.
** Note 2: Games on the Pre-Orders Ranking are counted as net sales, so it might possibly affect the games listed on the Sales Ranking, since those sales are NOT added afterwards.

--------------

Sorry for not posting photos lately. I've been quite busy.

Nioh is having a good word of mouth. Pre-orders were kinda low, but after the release the game really enjoyed from good comment about it.

Nier, Super Robot Wars y Monster Hunter are having really good pre-orders, especially Nier, that it's been the most reserved game on Rakuten.

Yakuza and Final Fantasy are heavily discounted.

Switch is again available to pre-order. It seems, though, that units are coming at a quicker pace than before, so Nintendo is trying to ensure retailers do have enough stock for the release. Zelda and 1-2-Switch are the most pre-ordered games. Retailers as Santy Shop are pushing reservations of the console alongside a game, they shared some info about percentages: for each three consoles, two Zelda and one 1-2-Switch is being reserved. Dragon Quest and Bomberman are also doing well.

Still holding hope for Disgaea 5 on Switch to show up. It probably wont sadly :|

"I think it will be the HDS"-Me in regards to Nintendo's next handheld.

Obviously, since Comg force you to pre-order Zelda or 1-2-Switch, when numbers come out, Zelda will sell just 20k, because numbers are inflated. And Disgaea 5 will sell 250k units, because this is the game people want to play on Switch. Comg is forcing people to pre-order games that nobody asked, instead of let to pre-order the games that are the reason to buy a Switch.

This and  also that Switch game ratio will be 0.5. Only half of the users will buy games, the other half of buyers only will have the console just to gather dust. And I'm being positive saying the half.

Nier, Nioh and super robot wars all looking good. Along with all the other titles ps4 has by far the best games line up in 2017. Hopefully that translates into awesome sales like it did in 2016!

That amount of sarcasm reached god-tier levels, Hiska. lol

You could simply replace charts with one user and you'd be 100% accurate.

I'm just really looking forward to first week numbers.
