What happened to XY after day 52? Just a couple of days without any points, or something wrong with pre-orders?

iirc, that was when COMG didn't update for a few days

I remember that!  Everyone thought all hell was breaking loose (myself included)

Playing Xenoblade 2 before I buy Xenoblade 3 (otherwise I couldn't wait to play 3).

Can they announce a new Fire Emblem? A remake of Genealogy or Tellius would suffice !

The lack of games like World of Final Fantasy and The Last Guardian is definitely disappointing but honestly Monster Hunter Stories' performance should be up there amongst the most disappointing. Despite not being a mainline entry it looks like a huge effort and perhaps an even bigger one than the main games. I have no idea why it's not performing better. It's really weird to think it might not beat Monster Hunter Diary (PSP) which was a much cheaper effort.

My best guess is that pre-order incentives at other stores are eating away sales at COMG but then again it might not have that big of an impact. Still the ratio should be good. But even 2000:1 would give a rather weak performance. Anyone has any hindsight?

For World of FF I would say it's doing quite well at other stores where, as you said, maybe there are better incentives than in Niigata. But, Stories is another story, lol. It's not doing well anywhere, I'm quite sure of this. The target of that game now is so much into Yo-Kai Watch and Pokémon, and what's more, Niigata is not a prefecture where the raw number of kids population is huge as in Kanto or Kansai area.

However, as I said a couple of times, let the game (and FFXV also fits here) get into October. New quarter, new expectations and, of course, new investments. If those games lack of points now, starting from the first day of October we should see a better performance regarding the pre-orders.

For almost every game points, but not that high

Is this the first time Monster Hunter went like this?

Pocky Lover Boy!

I don't think SAO on Vita is going to pass 200k physical, unlike the previous two games. Shame.

If SaGa doesn't pass 200k (and I don't think it will judging by the footage we're seeing), then I think we've had Vita's final 200k+ seller with Dragon Quest Heroes 2, barring any surprise announcements. Shame.

I think there's few very possible candidates. One of them could be Dragon Quest Builders 2 with proper multiplayer. It would be a surprise if it didn't come.

I cannot imagine toilet-free life.

Kebabs have a unique attribute compared to other consumables. To unlock this effect you need to wolf down a big ass kebab really fast, like under 10 minutes or so and wait for the effect to kick in. If done correctly your movements should feel unbelievably heavy to the point where you literally cannot move at all.

It's just, we knew about Dragon Quest Heroes 2 so quickly after the first.  Omega Force are an absolute factory when it comes to producing games too, whereas I think DQB was an internal Square-Enix project?

It's possible though.  It's just a number of franchises that were 200k+ (Miku; SAO; Toukiden) aren't going to reach it going forward, so it needs to be a really big game and preferrably exclusive.  Vita just isn't getting those anymore.  Plus games that should be performing better (World of Final Fantasy) aren't.

Still, it's probably got a fair few 100k+ games left.
