Much like FFXIII pre-release, for every bit of hype, there's just as much anti-hype. I think the game will be great, but I don't think it'll sell very well.

The game looks great, gameplay and storywise... but is quite a turndown in lot of other departments... Old FF fans aren't very pleased at all.. specially with the lack of females and more characters on the party... Episode Duscae basically was a Open world Hack and Slash game with RPG features.

 

I want to buy it, but I can think a lot other games I could get first those months...

Is not confirmed, because is not a flop. It should be a decrease from the past entry but not a flop. Stop saying that. And yes, I'm gonna talk about legs, because according to Media Create, Ganso and Honke stayed 21 weeks on Top 20, Shin Uchi during 27 weeks on Top 20, and Busters lasted 39 weeks on Top 20.

We MUST talk about legs, because Yo-Kai Watch 3 should at least be on Top 20, between 20 and 25 weeks before disappearing from Media Create numbers, and that will make the game sell what it hasn't sold on first week.

But it will no sell as much as the last entry, and  a lot far from the first two entries..., the series is losing steam, is a fact... Anual double releases have burn it down a lot in a few years... but is not technically a flop. It depends of the expectative of sells from Level.5

I'm actually surprised that ffxv sale still get this high. Dont anyone think the sale is a bit skewed by uncovered event? Almost all dedicated fans that i knw (both in jpn and na) preorder in squenix official store. Did ff13 also get a similar event like ffxv uncovered event?

I'm glad to see tales getting those numbers. Hope the game quality is better this time

It seems Sun and Moon really compite with Yo-kai. Reservation stands are quite crowded as far I could be notified. Stores are even exposing the pre-order stands outside. Let's wait if tomorrow there's some official info related to this.

The whole female party member complaint is very true, but also very sad at how vain it is. There are main female characters that will be guest characters, but the story is revolving around the same 4 characters.

So far no PS4 game sold remarkably well in Japan games like MGS5 sold similar to past enties but we have to consider that it was multiplatform, it´s basically a combination of a relatively weak userbase that couldn´t support successes similar to past Final Fantasy games and the IP itself declining in popularity.

People are also saying that there will be legs just like the recent Yokai Sangokushi.
