Hi all! New member here, though i've been following for a while.

I just saw the MC numbers and......Joker 3 has a huuuuge decline not only compared to Joker 1 and 2 but also to Monsters 1 and 2. Anyone knows why? Even Builders which is a new gerne outsold (including digital). Maybe Square Enix should release Joker 3 Professional on PS4 and PSV?

Meanwhile, PS4 is doing amazing! Dark Souls 3 also sold very well, more then Bloodborne. Definitely a huge grow there!

It kinda been touched on a bit in here and the MC threads before. There's a good bit of DQ fatigue with so many spin-offs releasing this year + Dragon Quest XI coming out later in 2016. So, it's not surprising to see harsher declines than normal.

True, but it has been 2 years since the last Monsters game on 3DS. Let alone it's a sequel to Joker which was every popular in Japan. Also, the decline was way too big...

Maybe that mobile game, DQ Starlight or something really took over the fanbase?

Look at Yokai Sangokushi go!
The only thing right now that is interesting! Or maybe that decline on the game might be more interesting..........
But YAY! It reached over 200 points!

I think you might be onto something.  The mobile game has been a big hit.  Maybe it's affecting the interest in the dedicated handheld sector.  They certainly compete with eachother more and more these days.

It is likely that the series as a whole is on its way to day not just with SO5. Strange, SO5 is the first in the series to get some of my attention. It doesn't look special or ambitious for me, but it seems very fun to play.

it could just be that there has been too many Dragon Quest games in general lately.

Dragon Quest Heroes, Dragon Quest VIII, Dragon Quest of the Stars, Dragon Quest Builders & Dragon Quest Joker 3 all have released in just over a year.

This is also the 5th Dragon Quest game on 3DS.
