Just wait until Preorders actually open. 4G had the same deal where it was getting like 20 points a day before preorders opened, and once they did it skyrocketted.

Yeah that's what I was thinking too. It's going to be insane, especially since Pokemon and Yokai won't be interfering with its preorders. Not that I think they have the same audience, but still.

Thanks a lot for the numbers to everyone. Exactly the same I thought, about pre-orders getting bigger after they open, and in Bic Camera Hachioji they are pushing people to start pre-ordering in August 1st, of course.

Maybe the "1" is a typo and shouldn't be there . . .

Well if Nintendo is upping their AC shipment size for week one but COMG isn't getting in on it in time for whatever reason, it could throw off COMG's accuracy.  I don't think by that much though.  The Splatoon thing is possible I guess; Nintendo has renewed their marketing efforts in preparation for the August update.

475k is certainly much more likely, going by Nintendo's 500k shipment and reported high sell-through.

I mean, New Leaf didn't manage a million FW so it's just impossible for a spinoff to do so. Animal Crossing is more about legs than big opening weeks, really.

Exactly. Plus, it's the only realistic explanation I think of.
