The race between Smash and Kart just got interesting. Gonna keep an eye on this but Kart may win due to the ridiculous late spike. But then again, the holidays are a thing in Japan so Smash *does* have that going for it. We shall see.

it's possible but if Smash doesn't start his afterburners right now it will get tough to stay up front of Mario Kart 8.

Also, while Smash has the holidays in his favor doesn't that bonus get limitied a bit due to Mario Kart 8 having Goldenweek during its preorder run?

Wait...so Captain Toad sold through 20-30% of it's shipment in it's first week. It sold 28K units, does that mean they shipped 100K?

Well, I'm not Japanese so I can't comment accurately on how big of a shopping week Golden Week is.  But I know that Christmas is a large spending/gifting period so we'll just have to wait and see. Unless someone more informed can say how big Golden Week is.

20-30% was first day. First week is 40-60% according to Famitsu. It sold the half of its shipment (probably 60k).
