180k for Gundam
150k for toukiden on Vita
120k on PSP
and 70k for Etrian Oddissey

and up to 35k for Vita hardware sales this week...

I have doubts that the PSP version of Toukiden will even break 100k.

Vita did fantastic though.

This.  Given how PSP games perform on COMG; I don't think PSP version will even break 80k.  That 120k prediction feels way too high :P

Btw, I'm jealous of you getting to play Atelier.  Let me know how it is!

I was thinking, why don't we see too many PS1/PS2 JRPG's on the 3DS? I mean we saw a lot of PS1 remakes on PSP, why not any more on 3DS? I mean, I could see Final Fantasy VII-IX selling very well on the 3DS, Saga Frontier, Arc the Lad, XenoGears, Chrono Cross, Brave Fencer Musashi, Kingdom Hearts I & 2, Star Ocean 3, Romancing Saga, etc. All these games sold as good or better then the Monster Hunter games on PS2 (only MH2 did modestly well).

I mean 3DS got Tales of the Abyss which sold 85% as well WW on the 3DS as it did on the PS2 (wait VGC doesn't have data for the PS2 game outside of Japan). Star Ocean for PSP did better then Star Ocean for SNES, FF3 did better on DS then it did on NES, and all those FF/DQ remakes sold fairly well too!

Plus the new games in the old franchises, like Dragon Quest IX sold the best on DS.

Then again, some remakes like Front Mission bombed, so you never know. Anyway. just a rant, I'd like to see more retro style RPG's on the 3DS before everyone switches to shovelware on iPads....

Square has slowed down on the remakes after the giant amount of criticism they received this past generation. Not all of it was undeserved, but they're concentrating on bigger consoles titles for the time being.

Sucks, but I hear it costs a lot of money to start remaking PS1 games.

Well at least I have most of what I want for PS1, and I can't see them localizing a Front Mission 2 or Gun Hazard remake so . Hope Dragon Quest VII localizes, that's the only main series Dragon Quest which I don't have.

Retailers first impressions:

GamesMaya:

Top 5 in this shop:
1. [PS3] Gundam Breaker
2. [PSV] Toukiden
3. [3DS] New Etrian Odyssey
4. [PS3] Atelier Escha & Logy
5. [PS3] Date a Live

Azalyn:

1. [PS3] Gundam Breaker – 40 copies sold (sold out, more stock available tomorrow)
2. [PSV] Toukiden – 26 copies sold (sold out, good start)
3. [3DS] New Etrian Odyssey – 15 copies sold (a little less than EOIV but according to expectations)
4. [PS3] Atelier Escha & Logy – 8 copies sold (less than the last entry, he thinks is bad timing)
5. [PS3] Date a Live – 7 copies sold (sold out)
6. [PSP] Toukiden – 7 copies sold
A little of movement for Digimon, Skyrim and Memories off.

Osakaking:

Gundam Breaker 90% sellthrough in this store. More stock available tomorrow. Good sales.
Toukiden sold more than expected. Vita and PSP versions, both sold out.
Digimon:Redegitize sold out and the next shipment is unknown.
New Etrian Odyssey goes slowly in this store.

Yosipooh:

Good sales this week compared to last weeks.

Gundam Breaker sold out too. More stock available tomorrow, but probably not enough for the weekend.
New Etrian Odyssey is the second one and also sold out. Some people were worried about the Index bankruptcy news.
Next Toukiden. Vita version nice, probably not stock enough for the weekend.

Sorry for the delay guys!

So good to see all these big numbers and whole bunch of Last Days. Exciting times.

Boo, rubbish update *shakes fist*.

Although, the Index Corporation bankruptcy news has certainly moved a couple of titles up a few notches ;P

And something showed up much quicker than I was expecting, too.

Also, thanks for the update Hiska. Now I'm worried Atelier is going to be buried next week. Hope it cracks 60k like all the other title have done.

My predictions are:

Gundam: 178k
Toukiden PSV: 144k
Toukiden PSP: 85k

PS3: 16k
Vita: 33k (30k boost from bundle and game isnt too much, or it is?)

I hope Wind Waker enters the charts
