Forums - Gaming - EA exec sells entire stake in company

Just seems like common sense to cash in on the back of the Star Wars and FIFA announcements. Can't see them having much during the transition to send shares higher anytime soon. If other execs all follow suit then it'd be a bigger reason to think something foul is at play.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

smart guy, since EA doesn't support Nintendo they will surely fail

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Usually a scary move, he apparently knows something that everyone else hasn;t yet been privvy to. Looks like EA is about to do something entirely stupid (as if destroying their relationship with Nintendo over Origin wasn't stupid enough)

Might EA been the next giant to fall?

I doubt it.  That's a good way to end up in prison, and he would definitely get attention with the amount of stock sold.  More likely we'll see a normal fall, which makes his move smart but not suspicious.

More hints at a MS exclusivity deal?

I would think the opposite.

A deal like that would make EA stock jump up even higher. If such a deal would be in the works, surely this exec would sell them right after the announcement.

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

Sometimes you have to sell for a little less, when the stock is from a company you work or have worked for. He could be sued if he handles with insiders knowledge.

the rich getting richer, that's all I took from that story.

Wonder if he'll sell it along side an online pass and day one dlc.

I honestly don't think so. An EA deal with MS would limit their audience significantly and investors would take note. Imagine if it was FIFA

I doubt the investors think that hard about it.

They will probably go like: Microsoft has a lot of money and influence... EA is working closely with them... Hence EA is X(?) worth more...

Most investors are in it for the short hall. Which is why they hardly protest when EA poisons it's reputation, demotivates their work force and mismanage a lot. Real long term effects matter little to most of them.

I don't think people should read too much into any type of stock sales like this. Especially after the value of shares spike to higher levels than they have in quite a long time.

The stock market is always about buying low and selling high.
