It really does need a remake.

You can run it in 1080p or even higher. There are many graphics mods.


None that boost geometry or add things such as High-Dynamic Range, Bloom, Depth of Field, the works. - And I would run it in eyefinity, but even a modded System Shock looks horrible.
Which is to be expected it's what, 15 years old?

Yes possible! I just now it was not possible for me :s..  Kind of sad really want to play it...(why is this not on XBLA/PSN?)..

Because it's an old PC game maybe?

Doom/Wolfenstein/Marathon/Duke Nukem 3D (and more?) did very well I am sure system shock II would do good aswell.

GoG. It wasn't free, it was $10. So Steam is cheaper, at least for the moment.

As for my own experience with SS2, the less said about that the better, I think.

14 years later? I don't think so. And who would port it?

That I don't care I just want to play it =p.  I think all those old games I mentioned managed + 100-500K so that would be worth it :).

Games can and should tell stories and share ideas through their mechanics. This is the intrinsic element of the medium and this is how experiences should be crafted in video games. No company does this as well as Nintendo and their echoes from the past.
