Your right, the last boss should be the most difficult of the bosses you must fight. I think by the time developers get to the end boss they've used all the resources and creativity on the preceding bosses.

@faxanadu, not necessarily, i just don't see why else the last boss would be easier. I do think however that most games have the most difficult boss at the end, Phantom Hourglass I though had the hardest boss at the end.
