Forums - General Discussion - WHY ISN'T PHILIPS CD-I TRACKED????

According to GamePro article, the CD-i sold 570,000 units -- lifetime.
Or one good day for the Wii.
That made it the fourth worst selling console of all times.

Complete list (numbers are said to be worldwide sales):
1. Apple Pippen 42k
2. Sega 32x 200k
3. Atari Jaguar 250k
4. CDi 440k
5. Nintendo Virtualboy 770k
6. Panasonic 3DO 2M (Unverified 6M according to Wikipedia).
7. Sega CD 6M
8. Sega Saturn 9.5M
9. NEC TG-16/PC-Engine 10M
10. Sega Dreamcast 10.6M

Two notes -- many classic systems sold less than 6-10.
For example, the Intellivision sold 6M over 1978-1991.
Also, notice what company keeps showing up on the list.

CDi, it truely was a system before its time. 'i' didn't become cool until the iPod, and on top of that, they had the 'i' on the wrong side

The iMac says hi (or i).

They looked good (I think) for games back in 1994.

I own everything on that list but the Pippen and the CDi.
So if anyone wants to sell me a CDi, I will listen.
(I have no interest in a Pippen).
