GTA V has been officially announced only for PS3 and Xbox 360, but chances are there that the this year's biggest gaming blockbuster (GTA V) will arrive on Wii U as well.

According to reports coming out from Nintendo Enthusiast, an anonymous retailer source told them that Rockstar Games had GTA V running on Wii U development kits.

"All I know now is that GTA V was being tested on the kits for some time. However, my retailer friend says that having a game up-and-running on the Wii U dev kits is not the same thing as having actual plans to release the game"

No doubt having a gaming running and preparing a game for official launch is two different things but if this rumor is TRUE then we can make out that Rockstar Games is atleast trying to bring GTA series to a brand new platform.

Then again.....who wouldn't want to do this?

Well .. it would be nice if Wii U owners got the chance to play this game, especially those who only intend to game on the Wii U (or do so primarily). I have my doubts, but anything is possible.

I don't really care about GTAV myself, but I do wholeheartedly hope it comes to WiiU.

If Nintendo wants to succeed, they need GTA V. Nintendo should do whatever they can to convince Rockstar to make GTA V for their platform. 

More likely than not it'll be rushed port and be more fodder to the haters and more justification that 3rd party games don't sell.

Not only get GTA V, but releasing it the same exact time as the other consoles is very necessary

I think it would be great to get any big cross platform game onto the wiiu... Yeah many will say things like who cares because Nintendo gamers will also own a more poweful next gen system.. In many cases this is true but I think the logic right now for Wiiu purchasers is that they are buying this system now at 299.99 rather than a 430 dollar ps4 and will pick up that ps4 in a couple years when it is cheaper. So having these games on Wiiu right now is definitely a plus.

that's what Nintendo should to do. They have money for it. PS360 will sell millions anyway. And a week early Wii U realease should be more than enough to help sales

Still, would be lovely news for owners if true. And I see no reason why not, Wii-U is more than capable of running it and it'd hopefully perform a bit better than Blops, so it'd at least recover the porting costs.
