Forums - Nintendo - 3d mario this October... and other rumors (from retailers)

I'm telling you guys that don't have a Wii U yet, craiglist or ebay that shit while it's cheap! The price won't be that low forever!

I can't wait to see what they have to show. While i've loved many games that i've played in the last 6 years, the last time i was truly blown away by a game right from the start was Super Mario Galaxy

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Cool, now what about Mario Kart!? That be the real system seller right there. :P

And to tell that Super Mario 3d land was made by a part of the galaxy team that had nothing better to do. I'm really wondering what they are going to come up with this time.

Here's a summery from Gonintendo on the same source.

This feels early, but crazy if true. I don't know whether this is a good or a bad thing (only because I worry that the game might be better if they take more time with it).

It'll have been a nice 3 years since Galaxy 2 (even though I know they made 3D Land).  I'm sure they pressed a little but I doubt they would release a non-quality product considering they only do 1 or 2 a gen for 3D Mario.  They can't afford to miss and they won't.

I've been replaying super mario sunshine in anticipation of a new 3D mario - only 24 more stars to go

Games can and should tell stories and share ideas through their mechanics. This is the intrinsic element of the medium and this is how experiences should be crafted in video games. No company does this as well as Nintendo and their echoes from the past.

This is both exciting and expected. I really can't wait to see that 3D Mario, it's had a lot of development time and should be epic. I'm sure the reason we won't get a feed of their conference at e3 is because there are lots of marketing details they don't want to show the gamers...as long as we see the games! I'm expecting a massive push come e3, hopefully with much better advertising.

While 3d land were made by the same team, it was made by a part of the team that "had nothing better to do." Sadly I cannot find the link to that, as I think I just read over it in a nintendolife article once, so I don't really remeber what it was about. Anyhow, I would think that 3 years should be enough.

Ah I see so a similar scenario to Tearaway and MM.  A small segment of the main team working a console product made a portable game.  This is why I'm hoping for a MM PS4 game before too soon.
