Forums - Microsoft - Xbox 720: Molyneux “knew a lot” about Microsoft’s plans, is currently “fascinated” by reveal

Man, this is gonna really confound some people. Molyneux love/hate vs. MS/NeXbox love/hate vs. Gaming only love/hate ..... I think we could really some some historically hypocritical responses here (if we haven't already) or people will just avoid commenting completely so they don't incriminate themselves.

Oh look, popcorn's ready!

Around the Network

I don't understand the "small" and vociferous group of gamers that are averse to change. Everything evolves and I'm pretty sure MS will not alienate gaming in their plan for Xbox. If they do somebody else will replace them and the industry will move on. If they can couple gaming and other entertainment that's a big plus because as a fan of both I, like many of generation Y, would love to own a piece of machine that can satisfy most of my needs. If everybody could have their own way we would never advance as a society. Why hate Microsoft if we know that if Sony or Nintendo could have done they would have. Microsoft is looking out for themselves like any other good business and at the same time trying to please its customers.

As soon as I saw the headline to this article I thought to myself: ‘there is going to be a bucket load of dumb people posting hateful comments about Mr Molyneux’.I was not disappointed…..or was I.A very very very small, almost microscopic part of me hoped that maybe gamers on this forum had suddenly grown up, become more sophisticated, deciding to take a broader view of the world.Only for a second though. Who was I kidding? After all what is the internet for but to air all one’s malice and vitriol in the safety of home and anonymity….it’s just human nature.

JK aside, I love this man =P I understand why he get the hate, though, so don't mind me.

You should slap yourself for even thinking the net would change.  Nothing fire up people to post than someone or thing to hate.  Haters are always quick to give their opinion and they never can smell their own crap.

People make mistakes and yes Peter has made some but I still love the man for his passion.  Maybe Peter does nto have the spark anymore but at least he still tries. Just for the games he has delivered through his career is enough to give the man respect even if you do not agree with his current games or direction.

This comes from the guy that monetized weapon stats on Fable 3. He will think anything is fascinating.
