Wind Waker.

Mind you I haven't played Shadow of Colossus, Killer7 or NMH, all of which are on my to do list, yet.

By life end:

  • Wii- 100 million+
  • Xbox360- 35~40 million
  • PS3- 30 million
  • PSP- 30~32 million ------------- FAILURE
  • NDS- 85~90 million (Skeptical)  - FAILURE
  • NDS- 100 million+ (Optimistic) -- Success!

I'd have to go with FFXII, you can't argue the art-direction in that game.

of course, Shadow as well. COme on TEAM ICO, bring us Shadow 2

Jet Set Radio Future, I can't really describe it but it fitted perfect: The cell-shading look, the awesome soundtrack and the great gameplay. This game created its own art...

Just awesome!!!

 That'd be my pick too. Exceptional game.

Okami, of course.

Either Ico or Everday Shooter. Don't underestimate Everyday Shooter's artiness.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

@masschamber
please elaborate on the Kirby thing....

It looks like world of crayon drawings brought to life. Think Yoshi's Island but more colorful and crayony (not a word?).

 exactly, the whole game looks like a very well done animated children's book, everything looks as if it was drawn with crayons or colored pencils; unfortunately the effects don't look right with interlacing of the image

I HAVE A DOUBLE DRAGON CAB IN MY KITCHEN!!!!!!

NOW A PUNISHER CAB!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@GooseGaws
Some interesting names there, Typing of the dead is such a wonderfully strange idea! I really miss the Sega of those days. As I mentioned I really loved Jet Set Radio on the Dreamcast, and would love to play it again. Can you play Future on the X360?

@masschamber
Sounds very interesting, must look this one up.

@akuma 587
Yes I really should download everyday shooter, as I said in the original post PSN/XboxLiveMarketplace seem to be really good for these types of games.

I remember seing a video of some upcoming game on PSN with a very nice graphical style, sort of similar to Rez with wireframes and colorful....eh, colors. I can't remember the name though, does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Patapon for PSP looks interesting as well, but I'm not likely to ever get a PSP.

@Gab:

The Typing of the Dead is one of my all-time favorites. A true classic.

Jet Set Radio Future can indeed be played on 360, and as far as I know can be found quite cheaply due to being a pack-in for awhile.

Funnily enough, both games share the same developer. How I miss you, Smilebit...
