Well thats just my opinion, seeing as I loved every GTA until IV and then got into RDR(and L.A.Noire) and loved that I think the point stands. RDR is in my opinion a better executed game than IV and will always be so. You may not agree but this is my opinion you may disagree if you want to :)

I know it's just your opinion. I still won't ever understand it ;o. To me, RDR and GTAIV are basically based around the same exact ideas except the time period and characters are different. RDR did expand a bit on GTAIV's ideas, sure, but it ultimately uses very similar systems as GTAIV.

Storytelling and gameplay is a lot better in RDR than GTA IV. John Marston's vs Niko Bellick's story is a clear win for John
 and for me who likes story more than anything else in open world games it stood out in comparison with IV

In what way did RDR not stand out? One of the best games I have ever played, maybe it didn't have the crazy fun of VC, SA etc, but the story was fantastic, the graphics also fantastic and the gameplay just felt fantastic. Who doesn't love being a cowboy

Wai what! I said that RDR stood out in comparison with IV not the other way around. I'm putting RDR over IV. If I would grade IV I would give it a stable 7.5 or 8 whereas I loved RDR and would give that more than a 8 every day.

I was agreeing with you, I just thought that you weren't giving it enough praise. I really really like RDR.

Yeah RDR is one of the top 10 games I bought this gen, clealry I like it more than IV :P

Yes, I am a graphics whore, and not a fan of GTA.  So I am not that excited for this game.  But if they get it for the PS4 I will give it a chance, just like with Watching Dogs.

My graphical requirements gets higher as the console generation goes, so it is not like I was wanting all games to looks like Crysis since day 1 I Bought my PS3.  But this late I am just tired of all the jaggies, and blur fests there can be in the games. I just cant handle it; and when I play games on my PC I get bored pretty quick, why? I dunno, maybe I need a couch and a gigantic monitor?

Get a controller for your PC and hook the thing up to your TV... problem solved!

Yeah RDR is one of the top 10 games I bought this gen, clealry I like it more than IV :P

I did enjoy IV, just not as much as SA or RDR for that matter

I loved GTA IV, but i agree Red Dead Redemption was the better game. It did multiplayer far better and there was far more to do in the story plus the zombie add on was awesome plus an almost rural setting is far better than a completely urban one

Don't you have a bed or a couch in your PC room? Or can't you move your PC into your room if it isn't there already? It's as easy as plugging an HDMI cable into the PC and the TV and installing Motioninjoy drivers to be able to use the Dualshock 3 with most games and voila! Console gaming with vastly superior graphics and framerate
