Late in a generation the generally dont matter much
In the first 2-3 years though they are hugely important

Microsoft isn't stupid, they always matter in the beginning of the generation. MS maintains shooter dominance.

The "always online" is bullshit but the used games I guess not... even so I think Sony will try to do something with used games too... the industry needs that... about huge exlusive... well Microsoft have the money.

And polygon confirmed you dont always need online to play games.
I assure you do not need a connection to play games
Kaz predicted that today before the article out (of couse he had his own sources).
Not that excited. Hope it goes well though for people who do care.
| VGKing said: Kinda hard to believe an EA game would be exclusive to one console. Isn't that an oxymoron? LOL. We heard the same thing about Destiny. That it would be at least timed-exclusive to Xbox...didn't happen. Anyway if this true, and if this game is good, then it would be a huge incentive for me to get the next Xbox. We've heard from other sources that Microsoft is not where they want to be at this point in the pre-launch development of Durango. A reliable source—one who was not part of our reporting about the Respawn game—tells us that Microsoft is as much as six months behind in producing content for the new console, despite an expected late-2013 launch. Another tells us that Microsoft recently cancelled several internal next-gen projects because they were not coming together as hoped. These sources have told us that, comparatively, Sony is in better shape and further along with hardware and software development for PlayStation 4. This piece of news deserves an article all its own. |
It happened with Mass Effect 2
I think Bungie just wanted to be on PlayStation day 1
