Handhelds-Nintendo will try their best to avoid losing to smartphones. Sony will delegate Vita to a companion device to PS4.

Consoles-Sony will might M$ intensely for NA marketshare, Nintendo will do....ok I really don't know wtf they're doing.

Games-Expect more FPS and Open-World. Say goodbye to minigame collections, less platforming. Indies continue to gain respect.

Developers-More Western 3rd party developers pursue AAA, more go bankrupt. Japanese devs move to handhelds,and more start embracing PC. Expect less console titles from Japan in general. Square Enix wildcard, they can either screw up completely or regain relevance. I expect at least 1 major 3rd party publisher to go bankrupt this gen.

Market in general this gen contracts moderately, from 225 million handhelds to somewhere around 100-130 million, consoles around 150 million from 250 million.

That's moderate!?  The handhelds will be halved?  Aren't they already at 35m or about there 2 years in (1 for Vita)?   150m home consoles?  So what like...70m PS4, 50m Xbox, and 30m WiiU?  Those all seem way too low.  Unless one console just completely dominates (I don't think PS4 can reach that marketshare)  I don't see it contracting THAT much.  This gen isn't over sales wise and even 6th gen was 200m with one dominant console (well 150m when the 7th gen came).

Naw it's gonna be 100m wiiU with 30m xbox and 20m ps4.
