ethomaz, you clearly aren't able to keep up with the discussion. Go home.

Me? For now I'm the only having a reasonable discussion here... it is becaming hard to understand how can anybody defending Nintendo for skip the E3 conference.

For me No E3 conference = No big news enought to hold a conference.

That is BAD and not GOOD like some guys here in the forum thinks.

No one is defending them for not holding a conference. We are ridiculing you for thinking it's because they have no games to show.

No games is obviously hyperbole. It is concerning however, as it could suggest one of the big ones (SSB, Kart and 3D Mario) has been delayed. I was hoping for all three this year.

There's only one person here having trouble understanding right now, and it's not me.

Come on. Let's bet on it. Nintendo unveils at least two as-yet unannounced titles during their E3 conferences, which include Nintendo Direct presentations airing within two weeks of E3. AND they will receive press coverage in 95% of the publications covering other E3 news -- how that will work is, you show me one publication that discusses Sony and Microsoft's conferences but not Nintendo's, and I'll show you 19 publications that do include Nintendo in the discussion.

I can bet with you... sig control for one week or more but I'm not saying games will not be announced by Nintendo... I'm saying the media cover for Nintendo will be way small than if they have a standard conference.

What happend in E3 that Nintendo will do this year happened every year... alwasy happened for any company... Nintendo is just removing the biggest part of it, the conference itself.

This is a big loss... and I guess they removed it because they haven't enoght new to share in a 1,5 hour conference.

My bet is the same plublication that have 5 pages for Nintendo conference in latest year will have only 1 page for the games this year... that is my point.

But nintendo will have 3 conferences that will total more than 1.5 hours, so i don't understand your argument.  I mean, Nintendo had so little to show last year that they filled it up with shovelware, do you honestly believe that Nintendo had less to showthis year than last year?  i mean they had what, 3 first party games at last years conference, and they have around a dozen games(i don't remember the exact number)  of announced but not shown games that will be shown at E3 thus far, plus retros new title and miyamotos new ip, and anything else they haven't revealed(and this doesn't include 3ds stuff), that's at least 4x as much content as last year.  Yet you claim they wont have enough?  i don't understand your argument.

I understand his argument, let me spell his argument out for you:

I prefer that other consoles look weak so my preferred console will look strong. Therefore I want Nintendo to have no games to show. I will take Nintendo's announcement that they will not have a traditional conference as E3 as indication that there is nothing at all to show, because it pleases my heart to think so. The fact that this makes very little sense based on the information we already know is irrelevant, becuase I will choose to ignore the information that contradicts my point, and I shall interpret any other information I can in a way that makes my unlikely dream scenario come true.

They don't have enoght news to hold a big conference... that is bad.

Next year they will do a big conference again and I will be proved right.

and they will have less things to show, and all of us will be proven right.

Something...Something...Games...Something

You can't prove that with E3 beacuase the change is already done.

Do you have leaks from Nintendo? Are you a major executive and know about their upcoming games?

Nintendo words itself leaves me to believe they have issues with Wii U games (not so much with 3DS) and the lack of a big E3 conference just hint to confirm that.

I don't expect big announces for Wii U in E3 this year... two Mario games and some other titles only.

E3 2008. They had nothing. NOTHING. They still held a conference.

They could unveil the games that are coming to WiiU. They could show Yoshi, Mario, demo X and Pikmin, tease Smash Bros, another couple of first party titles. A TON of 3DS stuff. There is a great conference.

They simply decided not to. It's such a shame you have such a one sided vision.

A 3D Mario would be far bigger than a new Uncharted or Gran Turismo. Even if it hurts.

A hint... MS and Sony are revealing a new console... not only a Uncharted or Gran Turismo.

A 3D Mario for Wii U is little for what the platafom needs but that is only my opinion.

Since you seem to be trying very hard to avoid logic, let's change the focus.

Why did Sony hold E3 2012? They had no new HW. No games that were different than the ones they usually do. Why bother?

A bet on whether Nintendo gets the same media coverage will be hard to prove. However, the silly stuff being talked about here is that Nintendo has nothing to show. I offer this bet for 1 week's sig control for anyone who will take it:

"I bet that Nintendo will show more yet-to-be-released exclusve games for Wii U @ e3 (or before through Direct Connect or conferences) than either Sony or MS will show for PS4 or Nextbox @ e3 (or at their pre-e3 conferences or at the Nexbox reveal)."

Any takers?

Let's see if Ethomaz holds true to his beliefs.

When he loses, do not be lenient.
