i doubt that their are THAT much stupid people out their that are getting mixed up becasue A. 3ds has been on display in major stores from day1, people can clearly see its a different product then and two. they are still buying DSs because they are cheaper than the 3dss, now even if they stopped sellling ti, their is no guarantee that that would equal a sale for 3ds if people think its too expensive to begin with.

Ya price might be a pretty big reason, u can get a DS for $100-130 or a 3DS for $170-200. If Iir buying a kid there 1st handheld ever than u would probably go with DS

I don't really think the 3DS needs "help" it seems 2 be holding its own against........well...........EVERYTHING! lol

But why discontinue profit? The DS does well in America. Stop selling it in Japan and Europe maybe, but leave it be in America for now.

They basically have.  In the past 6 months they only shipped 40k outside of the Americas.

People are misinterpreting the information. Nintendo aren't going to stop producing or selling the DS, they're just not giving an official sales forecast.
