Forums - Nintendo - New 3DS Owner (again)

I just recently obtained a 3ds XL through some rigorus trading at a local game store, unfortuantely I was only able to get one game with it, I chose Fire Emblem. (which is fucking amazing)...

I've had a 3ds in the past, I had Zelda, Mario Land, Kingdom Hearts, and Mario Kart

I will eventually rebuy the aformentioned titles, but I want something new with my next paycheck

Any sweet recomendations? what games should i get?

(discalimer: I do not want Luigi's mansion, I didn't like the first one... and I don't want Monster hunter, I'm getting Soul Sacrifice on the same day)

Get Animal Crossing when it comes out if you like that sort of thing.

never played it, whats it like?

my customers have told me its like Harvest Moon (which used to be one of my favourite series), is that true?

What about Code of Princess? Heroes of Ruin is good as well. Do you like Kingdom Hearts?

Edit* I thought it said Kid Icarus. Get that as well.

Code of Princess intrigued me, whats that like?

and yes Kingdom Hearts 1 was/is my favourite game of all time :) KH3D was bit lack luster, but it had one of the greatest endings in the series

Buy Luigi's Mansion. And you have to buy Link's Awakening on the eShop.

I believe it is like the Sims and Harvest Moon (although I haven't played either). This version they added a lot more than previous 2 versions. You basically run a town (you are mayor this time and have more control of placing things in town such as bridges and lampposts), fish, bug hunt, decorate and upgrade your house. There are also designs you can make and post all over your town (my previous towns had a walkway at entrance of Nintendo characters such as Luigi holding a shotgun, Samus, Mario flying, etc...). So there is a decent amount things to differentiate your town from other people's town.

Basically, everyone's town is different and you go visit other people's towns. When you are visiting or have guests (up to 4 people can be in one town at a time) you can hold fishing or bug contests to see who can catch the most. There are special events for the major holidays. Tons of stuff to do in Animal Crossing games.

Harvest Moon went to the dumps nowadays. Really liked the GC one, but disliked the Wii ones.

It's Harvest moon without dating sim and farm micromanagement, but more customizable than Harvest Moon.
