S.T.A.G.E. said: As I told him, the general consensus is that graphics don't equal sales. If the Phenomenon does not reach Nintendo in sales within the next two years, I think Nintendo will get cut off when the true next gen versions come out. Its probably going to get cut off on principle anyway, but at least the Nintendo fans will have an argument then. Nintendo fans defend Nintendo but they must realize the reason for Nintendos issues with third party devs is really all Nintendo and selfishly making console specs for themselves and leaving third party to figure things out for themselves. The problem with that is third party dont need to make exclusives for Nintendo anymore, they have their own aspirations and agenda. In Nintendo's world everything is Nintendo-centric.

we had multiplat PS2/GAmeCube/Xbox and we had a big diference between then, so why not make multiplats for pS4/wiiU/nextbox? This time is not like Wii x PS360. Third party just don't want and, of course, Nintendo has some fault but not all fault. WiiU has good specs, the "problem" was just Sony to bring even more that people expect.

The PS2 was inferior to the Gamecube in graphics, but the PS2 held 8GB's on each Disc and the Gamecube held like 1GB on its disc. The Xbox had basically the same amount of space on their discs as the PS2. Nintendo refused CD's and they lost third parties in a major way because they claimed it would lead to piracy (in the N64). They were always the last to truly push tech capacity. The original PS was the same issue because Sony was pushing tech and Nintendo wasn't despite being graphically inferior.
As for Sony bringing more than people expect, they always do, but its not always by graphics and power. Sony's strategy to gain third party attention is unparallelled which is why for the fourth gen they will have steady third party support. Nintendo only enjoyed steady third party support for two gens hasn't picked up their dragging feed in three gens. Even Microsoft learned how to get in third parties good graces and thats how to basically made themselves and HD equivalent to the PS3 making it hard for people to choose between the two. People are now forced to weigh the pros and cons between the Playstation and Xbox.
This time the Wii U is not only anemic in graphics but also in ram compared to the other next gen consoles. The Wii U disc is the most impressive thing, that disc can hold quite a bit of space. I mean its no Blu Ray, but still its impressive for Nintendo.
