It's funny because it's true.. Really puts into perspective as to how drastically gaming has been in decline. Games have essentially gotten to be worse quality, simpler, and stupider.

Quality? I disagree. They've jumped leaps and bounds when it comes to quality. Bigger budgets, realism, story telling, voice acting, voices at all actually... The games now are able to multi-task and are many layers deeper than before. Compare the story of a game like Mass Effect or Bioshock to Mario? Just going from castle to castle looking for an idiot female whom gets lost and/or kidnapped easier than... Anything really.

Better cinematic elements/horsepower does not = better game. That's like saying all movies today are better because of better picture quality, sound, and special effects.

You are right. I still can't find a sports game that provides as much multiplayer fun as Ice Hockey on NES.

Around the Network

All the truth these pictures.

And at the Quake video, I remember when FPS's were like that, made for some intense multiplayer though I wasn't very good at it. The genre died after Call of Duty 1, with some rare instances when it's combined with something else like Fallout 3 and Bioshock.

The Ice Hockey Mini-Game in Mario Party 5 . I agree too, for all the so-called realistic physics and stuff, new FIFA games are nowhere near as good gameplay-wise as say FIFA 99. Back when, the characters on screen actually did what you wanted them to do.

Just incase you missed it. I didn't say they were better overall.
