Forums - General - Rudy Giuliani has dropped out.

Huckabee will probably drop out next, but he'd make a good vp for Mccain's ticket.

Thompson, Huckabee and Guiliani could all end up endorsing Mccain.  All to stop Romney.

Strange.

Paul has maybe a 1/10 shot of winning the nomination now (up from say 1/20 about two weeks ago, but no where near likely).

He's going to do (fairly) well in Maine, Montana, and Colorado.  Probably Texas too if he keeps on keeping on.

Doing well in Colorado would definitely mean his voice would be heard - its a socially conservative state with few Mormons for the west, and a distate for the federal government's size.  But its also a pretty big state.  Probably more likely than not that Paul can get 200-300 delegates - which is more than enough to swing a close battle between Romney and Mccain - and thats more than any other remaining candidate can say since they have already chosen sides.

He didn't even really try....we have heard almost nothing out of him for the past few weeks.

Argh. The list of Republican candidates ain't so good. McCain will probably get nominated, and he's sort of for big(ger) governemnt, which I'm not for. As long as he's not a socialist, though...

Looks like it's going to be another "which candidate do I dislike the least?" election for me.

Another thing - I don't see how people thought Ron Paul had much of a chance. He's really big on the internet among a certain age group, but not much else. (atleast, not enough to be a serious candidate for the gop nomination)

We should bring Reagan back to life.  I'd vote for a zombie Reagan.

The problem with the tortoise and the hare argument for me was that Giuliani was the tortoise. All the other candiates were having successes in the primaries and he just kept his head down slowly, methodically campaigning in Florida. And when it came time for the Primary, the speed the hares had built up allowed them to fly past that stupid, stupid turtle.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

@Bursche - Giulliani was the front runner for the longest time. He had lot of support. If McCain can get the you'll do vote from Republicans so could of Rudy. He could of won if ran the whole time.

@Source - Giving Paul a 1/10 shot is way to much. I would give him a 1/100 shot. Only if some fluke happend could he win. He is only trying to make a statement now. I dont think a staying in a Presidentail Race just to make a point is a good reason.

PREDICTION: Romney and McCain battle it out on Super Tuesday. Huckabee will stay in as long as he can. He will win a few Southern States but not as much as Romeny or McCain. It will look like a close Race between the 2 Huckabee will drop out and endorse McCain and he will win the Next few States outside of Super Tuesday and it will finaly be over. I think Huckabee would make a fine VP. On the Dem side. Hillary wins Super Tuesday and its over.

Not really Hillary needs almost 2000 delegates on super tuesday to win, Obama is going to pull off at least 35-40% of Delegates that day, meaning Hillary walks away with a max of 1300 delegates, putting her about 500 Delegates short of winning the nomination and if Obama wins a bunch of the smaller states, Hillary will be in trouble

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

I hope Obama wins.

Fuck Guilliani, he reminds me of exactly how Bush was before he got into office, more USA down the toilet if he got in.

Did he turn on and tune in first? Or just drop out?

Giuliani has a zero tolerance policy on "turning on".

I laughed so hard at that  =D

back to the topic ... I never really liked "Rudy", but come on ... first .. he ignored all the people from the early states and now he just retires without even trying to fight ... that's just sad.

Q: "Mr. Giuliani, what is your position on [issue]?"

A: "Well, Mr. Moderator, when I was mayor of New York during 9/11... blah blah blah 9/11... blah blah terrorist attacks... 9/11 yadda yadda blowing up buildings... and so that's why I'd make a good president. Also, 9/11."

Glad to see this stooge drop out of the race.

Pretty weird that all candidates in the USA are spending millions of dollars with a recession about to hit. Those members give us in Europe a vibe that says... we will keep spending pointlessly anyway.

I noticed those senators like Mccain mention that they were campaining all day, every day. Fair enough, but shouldn't they be running some state 24/7 like they promised in their previous campaign to become senator?

Good. I don't really care for any of the Republicans, but he was so slimey.

I am betting that McCain gets the nomination. However, I will be voting for Hillary/Obama in November. :)
