Okay, you've actually probably forgotten who I am. But anyways...

Remember back in December when I made a thread on Video game related alternate history? We asked questions like "What if the Wii were released in 2004?" and "What if the Wii didn't have motion controls?" Well, one of those projects really got rolling, so I began working on it on another site, the Alternate History wiki. And yesterday, it got approved as a Featured timeline!

We all know the story of how Nintendo and Sony had a nasty breakup in 1991, leading to the creation of the PlayStation brand. This timeline asks the question "What if Norio Ohga was able to let bygones be bygones? What if Ohga Shrugged?"

I know this is a blatant self-endorsement, but I'm really proud of what me and a few other people were able to accomplish. We created all sorts of events, twists and turns in gaming history, inferences into what could happen, etc. And we're just getting started!

It's basically a 'what if there wasn't Sony' fanfic? Interesting for sure. 

I also see that in this timeline Yamauchi withdraws his hit on Gunpei Yokoi

Well, it helps being the only console with a second analog stick.

I'm not really into these things because they are pretty much just fan fiction. If we can't even predict the state of games one year from today, no way could we accurately figure out what would happen if a past event changed.

Understandable. That said, there's nothing wrong with fan fiction.

I don't mean to necropost, but I'm not sure if this required a new thread.

I'm looking for somebody willing to help me out on the PC side of this alternate history. I have some of the basics laid out, but my knowledge is mostly about the console and handheld side of things. Even if you don't want to contribute directly, any advice would be appreciated!
