Forums - PC - Oi! You PC/MAC guys out there...I need your help.

*Update:  If you are ahving any of the below issues as of late, uninstall your updated Flash (11.7) and install version 11.6.  Flash 11.7 is BROKEN, this fixed my issue*

For the past couple of days, when watching video's on any browser, be it Youtube or wherever - The video will play fine anywhere from 5 seconds to 3 Minutes... But then the sound will cut out, and a few seconds later the video will cease to play.  If i click back a few seconds in the video and hit play, sound returns and the vid plays...but then it all happens over again after a few seconds or minutes.

I havent the slightest idea why either.

This is happening on my Macbook Pro that I use primarily for school related work (Maya, 3DSMax, Photoshop yada yada)  so this is a pretty big issue for me.

I've reinstalled Flash multiple times and nada.  Could it be the version of Flash im using?

Skype has also been acting up lately as well, my video flickers, sound cuts out all that fun stuff.  The skype issue has been persistant on my girlfriends Mac as well.

This has been driving me absolutely apeshit, I dont know if its something stupid I am missing or what.  If anyone has any idea's, then please scream them out and I will give it a shot.

P.S. simply rebooting did not work either.

Sounds like a p0rn site where you have to pay after watching a few minutes or talking to a phone sex girl

Just noticed, the most recent Flash update was on 4/9/2013 - If i were a bettin man, I would say that had something to do with it...

Just "Downgraded" to the previous version of Flash (11.6) and everything seems to be working fine, so if anyone else is having similar issues, I would recommend doing that!

While i have been a flash developer.. I hope it dies quickly and i still thank Apple for not supporting it on their iPhone and iPad killing it more quickly..

Flash has been crashing at work PC's recently. I think it does sound like a flash issue in general. Buh bye flash, hello html5.

I think its because Flash is aware it is on its way out so its trying to take down all devices with it.
its philosophy is "we all live, or we all die!"

Current Game Machines: 3DS, Wii U, PC.

Currently Playing: X-Com(PC), Smash Bros(WiiU), Banner Saga(PC), Guild Wars 2(PC), Project X Zone(3DS), Luigis Mansion 2(3DS), DayZ(PC)

Since the hiccups appear on Skype as well, a sound card issue could arise. And since you're using a Mac, and most probably Safari, I don't think it has anything to do with any plugin attached to it. I would blame Flash first, but Skype pretty much eliminates this...
