Forums - Microsoft - Rumor: Microsoft may revive Heroes TV show for Xbox

bigCchris said:

while im not sure if a heroes reboot is in the pipline, you can definately bet that microsoft is definately working on original programing as is netflix and amazon, simplying being able to stream tv shows and movies isnt enough anymore, everybody can do that you have to make your service stand out, and if you cant do it on price because of hollywood, then your own original programing is the next best thing.

What original programing is Amazon working on?

I loved heroes season one but then it went downhill from there. I hope they can do as good as the first season if it returns

There was some recovery at the end, but the retcon up the wazoo after the first season, got to be absurd.  The writer's strike really messed things up.

There are only 3 shows that will drive its fans to buy something to see more episodes: Game of thrones (HBO), Arrested Development (now on Netflix :) ), and Firefly ( Fox.) This show was good but got bad really fast but then kind of redeemed itself for a series finale.

Isn't it funny, that MS goes that way and not sony? Sony actually owns movie studios, but just like a million times in the past, Sony fails to make the divisions benefit each other. How can it be that MS is ahead of them in this department? Before Sony moves, MS supports 'the guild', published the short Halo series and build their own studio for future content.

Anyway, I have never watched heroes, but some of my friends liked it. A lot of people here complain that the first season was the best, but isn't that the case for 99% of the TV series? Lost and Prison Break just came to my mind. Good series overall, but season 1 was by far the best one.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Boy that was a show that started so well! Then had a few bumps, and I thought when they introduced a 'soccer playing' super hero because that's what people voted on line that it was doomed. Doomed I say, and it ended up being worse then I imaged.

My friend and I went from 'oh, you watch that too! Isn't it an interesting show' to 'gosh, Hero's was so bad, I give it one more episode.'

I never did finish. It was my favorite show the first year (minus one or two really bad episodes.)

(minor spoiler) Plus, they should have just made the amazing Ali Lauter immortal.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

Looks like a good strategy, but is Heroes the best choice? Something like Arrested Development is critically acclaimed, has increased fanbase post-cancellation, and is quite cheap to produce. Heroes has none of these advantages. They should be looking around for better choices, unless they have more revivals planned but not leaked?

Arrested Developement isn't even that good.

Why do you say only those three shows? Especially considering different people enjoy different shows.

Not to mention you probably won't have to buy anything to play whatever content they come up with. Maybe the Durango but there are plenty of other reasons to buy that so it's really a win-win situation.

I enjoyed the series greatly. It wasn't very consistent though. One season would be great, the next would be okay and it would go back to great and vice versa. I despise Microsoft but if this turns out to be true I'll have to check it out and give them props for bringing back a good show. Would be nice if some others shows could be revived through MS or Netflix.

Cool. I do love all of the original programing that Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu are doing. And they arent mean like HBO and make it near impossible to see their shows.
