Pathetically small lineups. Why can't they just load every NES ROM they own onto it? I could do that right now from certain websites if I wanted.

Cause they have to add Miiverse, Gamepad, and Off-TV play to each game.
Which seems more complicated than just slapping some code into them.

.. and real save states and licensing issues and real testing...

It seems like the process of adding those features to every game would be trivial to automate, because the emulator software is in control of what hooks into the program, so just modify that once to include them.

Save states are a very easy emulator feature to add. Just memory dump and reload. Testing/licensing should have been done with the Wii emulator version.
If Nintendo takes more than 6 months to add everything they had on Wii they're incompetent.
They really should get Secret of Mana on this. I would buy it at a high price.
Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

i expect i will be upgrading the games that i already own on the Wii gradually as they release as it looks like Nintendo is going to drop feed us the games like on Wii.
Games i own and expect to upgrade to Wii U version(if/when released as Wii U versions):
Super Mario World
Super Mario Bros 1-3
Final Fantasy 4 and 6
Super Mario RPG
Breath of Fire 2
Donkey Kong Country 2 and 3
and i plan on getting Earthbound when it is released since i have never played that.

pretty disappointing this makes the launch line up the PS1 classic on the vita look great

Plus it is kind of overload. Several thousand titles all at once, and that is before considering liscensing rights, etc, plus registering them with each region's rating board. As long as they can release one or two a week it should be fine.
