I think there sales are ok for prequels in US.

Here's my opinion on the matter:
Nintendo should make a Gears of Wario game and a God of Wario game
this new twist on an old classic should freshen up the franchises enough to improve sales!

Games can and should tell stories and share ideas through their mechanics. This is the intrinsic element of the medium and this is how experiences should be crafted in video games. No company does this as well as Nintendo and their echoes from the past.

For games in a series that are prequels in arguably already saturated series at the end of a generation going against Bioshock infinite and hordes of older cheaper games flooding the stores and being exclusive to their respective systems I think they have done pretty well.

Gears Of War: Judgment is more of a spin-off than an actual prequel.

Judgment is actually a prequel for Gears of war 1 and Gears of War 3.

Gears sales: very good for what it is, maybe 360 owners bought it as they they haven't seen a first party game in ages.

God of war sales: disappointing considering it's a better game imo; hopefully these sales won't be similiar to the last of us.

No Marcus Fenix.

Yes, he is indeed in Judgment.

The first chapter of Gears of war 3 (except for the very first and second stage) didn't have Marcus either.

You only hear him for like two seconds in the campaign.

Do you consider Halo Reach a spin-off rather than a prequel?
