Can't wait for H2 anniversary.
Halo 2 made me like the Xbox after apprehension that it would dilute the market. If the 360 wasn't what it is or XBL, I would have gotten one back in 2006. That and I didn't like Halo 3 as much and the exodus away from local play to online play, CoD Modern Warfare usurped Halo.
Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

It's all preference for play style. Metroid Prime is a perfect game and in my opinion the best console shooter. I could write a book about it
Games can and should tell stories and share ideas through their mechanics. This is the intrinsic element of the medium and this is how experiences should be crafted in video games. No company does this as well as Nintendo and their echoes from the past.

I wouldn't classify metroid prime as a "shooter" more like a first person adventure but it is a good game
Halo 2 was still the only non-PC game I put in over 2000 hours of playtime (Warcraft 2, Ultima Online, Starcraft, Diablo 1+2 basically being the other games) thanks to the fantastic multiplayer. I was literally on every single day playing multiplayer till the 360 came out.
So yeah, fantastic game. I put in a lot of hours into Halo 3 but not even close to half the amount I put into Halo 2. H
It's just that simple.

Seriously? The game with horrible controls where you can't even look up or down while moving? No thanks. Couldn't make it more than a few minutes before I wanted to smash my controller.
OT: For me it's all about Halo 3. That jump to HD was amazing and everything about it was a million times better. I loved forge mode! Only thing I really miss from 2 was driving the scorpion up the rock walls on that one multiplayer map.
The latest Halo 4 maps (the out this week) remember the some old Halo 2 maps (I think Halo 2 had the best MP maps in Halo franchise)... I didn't play the new Halo 4 maps but I saw videos.

Ive only ever played Halo 1 but if that $99 X360 rumor is true ill prolly pick one up just to play Halo/Gears and a few other xbox exclusives

Dude... I STILL played only Halo 2 when my 360 came out lol. I bought a 360 but still only played Halo 2. That game was the best! It stayed that way till Gears 1 came out in Nov 06. And even then I still played more Halo 2 than Gears.... It was just that good
