Forums - Sony - What 8 games shall I buy this year? (PS3/Vita only)

how about you give me some games and i get rid of that backlog for you?

Can't go wrong with Guacamelee. Cross buy!

I'd suggest you only play a game or two per month. Focus on those two until you finish them before jumping to new titles. I've been in your shoes, and currently I don't game much due to time constraints. I continue to buy games though, but only those on sale. I bought 5 from Amazon last week for 20 each (beats buying them at launch for 60 each). I only spend full price on a game I'll play now for now, like GOW:A, Soul Sacrifice and the Last of Us.

I like Beyond 2 Souls, The Last of Us, Disgaea D2, MLB 13 The Show, Ni No Kuni, Tales of Xillia, Battlefield 4 and Grand Theft Auto V.

I'll just post what I'm getting for the rest of the year:

Soul Sacrifice
The Last of Us
Tales of Xillia
Ys: Memories of Celceta
Killzone: Mercenary
Beyond: Two Souls
Final Fantasy X(Vita...don't really care for FFX-2)
Kingdom Hearts 1.5

I'll tell you one thing I tell my friends when speaking about most console titles.

Every $20 game was $60 sometime. Meaning just because it's $20 now doesn't mean it's not worth purchasing, and to wait until the new games drop in price before buying them. If you've got a large backlog, buying the games you're interested in when they hit $20 or less should give you time to clear the backlog.

If you want to save money on buying games, I can only recommend make sure they're games you're actually interested in. Also watch videos, play demos, whatever you can to make sure you're really interested after you initially take notice of the game.
