As some of you guys may or may not know Uncharted has been one of my favorite games this generation and Naughty Dog in my opinion is one of the best developers out there.  I am excited to see "The Last of Us"  and with recent Vgchartz preorder numbers Last of Us is outpacing Uncharted 3 in preorders so things are looking up for Nuaghty Dog and The Last of Us.  To put that into perspective Uncharted 3 sold 1.3 million in its first week on the market.  Can Last of Us do similar numbers? Or because of it not being a well established IP will it not?  What do you think it will do first week?

Good news, TLOU looks really interesting. But wasn't the accuracy of the pre-order tracking on VGChartz pretty terrible?

That's good news, the better that high budget new IPs do, the better for the industry in general.

Considering how the curve is behaving I think it will end up with the same numbers as Uncharted 3, or a bit lower. If reviews begin appearing 1 week or a bit more before the actual release, I can see this with more pre-orders than Uncharted 3. The game is looking really awesome, so the reviews will hype the people to pre-order it.

i dont think it will have more pre orders than uncharted 3 this had a lot of hype when announced and it is still very hyped but its still a new IP. in the last few weeks uncharted saw a huge jump in preorders, i dont think TLoU will be able to do that.

I can't imagine it selling over 1 million first week. When did that happen last time for a new IP?
