Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Abstration layers have no licence issues... it is like a emulator that transalate the DX11 calls to native call in PS4... it is less fast because that transalate that use processing power to make the things happen.
