dmc from ninja theory - bye bye franchise

DMC4 was quite shit actually and it's greatest feat was making you replay the games crapy levels and enemies twice.

With that said, DmC from NT is superior to DMC4 in every way. Story, gameplay, level design, character design, voice acting, graphics, music...you name it.

So I really don't understand where this "bye bye franchise" comes from.  Its like seeing someone eat excrement at a restourant without saying anything and then when they are served a slightly dry meat loaf, they lose it and never come back to that restourant.

Sales numbers strongly disagree with your comment.

You really think the sales are reflective of the games quality?? We're in 2013, hack and slashers are niche. Hell, single player games are niche. Even Tomb Raider has a multiplayer mode. Add to that the fact DMC never had a huge crazy loyal following ala Metal Gear Rising. I'm sure Ninja Theory's take on it scared some fans away but lets not pretend that DmC wasn't critically acclaimed.

All jokes aside, I'm pretty sure new means new IP. What else?

Heavenly Sword 2? Maybe if Sony wants one for the first year of PS4. But why would they do that, when they have God of War and a new IP is already being made by Stig? Altough the Vita would need a great Hack n' Slash. A great exclusive made by the hands of the original creator would be great. And there is the possibility of Heavenly Sword Vita port. Altough the original game was 17 gigs, I think they could squeeze it in. But it's in the hand of Sony.

Enslaved 2? Great game, but couldn't find a fanbase. It would be great to have that, but considering that they're making a nextgen game, it would only held them back in terms of being a sequel.

DMC2? Yeeeah, no. I mean Capcom have to think trough the franchises they have, and in terms of sales, it will be on the chopping block, I don't see them making a sequel so soon.

So. New IP. Lets hope it will be good.

Its probably just some DLC crap.

people care about there games??? consider me confused.

Why? Enslaved was pretty good, wether you like the company or not.

Let's not pretend DmC wasn't underwhelmingly unchallenging.

Sales numbers are not and will never be an indication of quality.
