not gonna happen the industry is growing not shrinking, maybe the handheld market will be smaller because of the smart phones and tablets but the console market will be ok

Hard to see it happen. Even with meager sales most consoles still had a lot of buzz. Nintendo is probably guaranteed to at least sell 22.74m (Gamecube). And Gamecube still gets talked a lot today. Xbox has always sold more then 24m (Xbox 1). That is more then Gamecube so it is still consider decent. PS consoles always sell more then 76m (PS3 / PSP). Time will tell if Vita will do anywhere close to that. So I really do not think their will be a crash as that is at least 123m consoles sold in a generation. Forums probably would not care that much anyways.
