after all the crazy sh*t that went down when the PS3 was released I'd say so; I remember when the PS3 first came out there where some reports off people getting mugged right after picking up their PS3, hell there was one report of a group of people who busted into a mans apartment*while he was there) and stole his PS3 only!

Break into Sony HQ 1 month before launch I bet there will be one standing around somewhere.

Make an Amazon pre order as soon as its possible this will guarantee you will get one or make 2-3 pre orders if you are really concerned you won't get one.
